Mañana No More - Carl and Isabel Abrams

Carl and Isabel Abrams led a content life in the UK, with a comfortable home and fulfilling jobs that they enjoyed. In 2017, they embarked on a memorable motorcycle tour of Scandinavia, igniting a dream to circumnavigate the globe on their bikes. However, everything changed when three months later Isabel discovered a lump in her breast. The subsequent diagnosis forced Isabel to confront her mortality, abruptly shifting their perspective on the future. The idea of travelling the world once again came to the forefront, and they started to do some research, even buying the bikes. But still, the prospect of a world tour was a distant and flexible goal, as there was no set date; it was a plan for someday, something they couldn’t actually see happening. Until they surprised everyone, even themselves, and the day when they finally followed their dream arrived.

Around the World in Record Time: Bridget McCutchen’s Motorcycle Quest

Have you ever wondered about embarking on a big trip, such as travelling around the world, going from Alaska to Ushuaia, or exploring a foreign country for a few months? Have you ever doubted your ability to undertake such an adventure? If so, the story of Bridget McCutchen should inspire you. Bridget, a 22-year-old woman, is on a mission to set an official Guinness world record as the youngest woman to complete a trip around the world by motorcycle. She will accomplish her goal in November, having navigated foreign borders, dealt with regulations and paperwork, and overcoming language barriers.

Around the World in Five Months - Maurice McDonald

When civil unrest in Africa threw a monkey wrench in to Maurice McDonald’s plans to ride around the world in 2005, he had no choice but to end his trip and return to the UK. He still dreamt of completing the trip he started, so in 2018 he had a second go at it, despite having a life threatening disease that required him to keep his meds cold while travelling. Riding his 1994 Yamaha XTZ 750 Super Tenere he spent five months on the road, and at last reached the horizon he had aimed for in the first place.

Lyndon Poskitt - Races to Places - Motorcycle World Travel

Lyndon Poskitt is a passionate motorcyclist who has spent many years racing motorcycles, with the apogee being the Dakar Rally in 2013. He decided he was ready for something different and planned to travel around the world to different places, racing when the opportunities were there. He sold most of his possession and two years ago he set out on his self built custom adventure bike, which he calls Basil.

Just Keep on Riding with Geoff Thomas & What We Ride - Gear Review

After putting almost a million miles on a motorbike as a courier in London, Geoff Thomas decided to pack it in, and in April, 2008, embarked on a motorcycle to travel the world. He took along with him the ashes of his parents to be delivered to his brother in California, while en route. On his return to England in November, 2008, he found that his rented apartment in Essex had burnt down, with all his belongings in it. Left only with his motorcycle and what was packed on it, he just decided to just keep on riding.
