56: Staying in the Zone While Riding | Dealing With Loneliness on the Road
From all around the world, in the far corners of Bulgaria, England, Australia and Canada, the RAW panel once again meets to answer listener questions about they stay in the zone while riding their motorcycles and how they deal with loneliness while on a long distance road trip.
Listener Questions
Richard Meal - Staying in the Zone:
As long distance riders what do you do or what approach have you developed to help maintain your concentration while riding? As a tourer and ADV rider, I always struggle to maintain concentration after an hour or so of riding and have tried various techniques to remain "in the zone", nothing seems to work; how do I find that mental nirvana I am seeking and more importantly, how do I stay there?
Anonymous - Dealing [with] loneliness while traveling alone:
I've found it to be quite a problem whenever I have gone on a trip so far, short or longer. This one is no different. I found it overwhelms any enjoyment I could be having, and it recurs just about daily. Which is a great shame.”
