Take it to the Limit
When you listen to Peter Starr speak, you can’t help but feel his positive energy. He’s done so much in his lifetime including travelling, producing and directing over 40 television specials on motorcycling and motorsports. He’s made two documentary feature films and many television commercials and industrial films. Peter’s done a lot of firsts and is considered one of the pioneers of filming and televising motorcycle sports in the United States. He’s an award winning film maker that has also written feature articles for many popular magazines, and is the author of two coffee table books.
Peter has ridden as a stunt rider in some major movies you have probably seen, and in over 100 television commercials. He’s also designed and built four motorcycle camera bikes used in the movie industry. He was inducted in to the Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2011 and in to the AMA Hall of Fame in 2017.
And for six years Peter travelled to 12 different countries, and has put together a book called Motorcycle Traveler, in which he shares his travel stories, photographs and videos in the included DVD.
On this episode of ARR, Peter shares some inspiring stories about his motorcycle life, a career that has spanned about a half a century, and talks about how a health issue later in life led to his conclusion that dealing with aging requires living a purposeful life - and for him that involved motorcycling, which has always been a big part of his life. He feels that a positive mindset is what riders need to help with aging. Well, listen in, because a positive mindset and a purpose in life is probably something that all of us could do with.
