Motorcycle Grip Strength: Rider Skills | This Year on Adventure Rider Radio
ARR RIDER SKILLS: Hand Strength & Stamina
Instructor: Bret Tkacs
Having a strong grip is an important part of motorcycle riding to ensure you have proper control when it comes to the front brake, clutch and throttle. And when we stop riding for the season in the winter, or for other reasons, we need to make sure to maintain the strength in our hands, or when it comes time to ride again, you may experience weakness or hand cramping, especially in heavy traffic or when riding off-road. Bret Tkacs explains how to maintain your hand strength in the off season and how it affects your riding.
Episodes that Inspired, Educated or Made us Laugh
The end of the calendar year is when we often take the time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to what we hope to accomplish. Reflections can help us choose and plan goals, as we think about events and achievements in the year that has just passed. So, of course, we looked through the episodes we’ve produced this year, the guests we’ve had on and had a great time listening to excerpts from some of the shows. We’ve learned a lot, felt sad at times, have been inspired, and even laughed out loud at some of the stories we’ve heard. It’s been a rewarding year for us and we hope you’ve enjoyed the variety of podcast topics.
We’re grateful to all our guests for sharing their stories, and we can’t pick our favourites, well, because we just like them all! But, we’re going to share a few with you to reflect on what a great year 2017 has been.
